We live in a time where superficial, fast paced communications are dominating. There is no escaping this, but for real change to come about communications need to have depth.

I am a strategic communications professional focused on how to communicate with their audiences, specialising in the not-for-profit, global development & think tank sectors.
I have worked with organisations, teams & individuals to help them to craft communications & engagement strategies. This goes beyond building awareness of an issue to exploring the role of language, behaviour & values in narrative & policy change.
I am particularly interested in the role of relationships, how we can listen better to others, resolve conflict or polarization & create new narratives.

I also write and develop content , as well as guides, blogs & articles on effective communications.
About me

I have 20 years global experience, working in countries such as Indonesia, Egypt, India, Ghana, Vietnam, Colombia, South Africa, Switzerland & the UK.
I previously set up & led the strategic communications unit at the UK think tank ODI. I have also worked for organisations such as the BBC & tve.
​
I have worked across multiple sectors & themes including early childhood development, climate policy, social accountability, migration policy, mental health, poverty, economic justice & health systems research.
My cleints have included government departments, private foundations, academic institutions, consultancies, civil society organisations, media companies & think tanks.

My languages are English, French, Spanish & Russian.
